Congratulations and Thank You to all of the middle schoolers that submitted pieces for NEHS's first MS writing contest! We loved reading and critiquing every piece and are excited that all of you wonderful writers will be coming to the high school soon (or for some maybe a little later). For those of you who did not make the finalist category, still pat yourself on the back. It's gutsy submitting your work to be judged and reviewed, and NEHS will be sending feedback to each participant soon. If you ware a finalist, Congratulations! NEHS will be contacting you in the upcoming week so that we can hopefully get your prize to you before Christmas Break. With that being said, here are the finalists for the contest:
6th Grade:

Based on an image, we challenge you to compose a poem, essay, story, play (any literary format, as long as you're writing) and submit it electronically here: Submission Form (Note: If the format of the words on the page matters, we suggest you attach your document to an email and send it to us. Our email address is [email protected].) And of course, there will be prizes so start writing!
